I just baked a yummy dairy-free old-fashioned bread pudding this morning! If you’re in search of ways to reduce food waste and use up stale bread, my dairy-free bread pudding recipe is a delicious place to start.
Prep time: 15 minutes | Total baking time: 60 minutes | Servings: 8 people
Ingredients
- 2 cups oat milk, feel free to use any milk of your choosing
- 1/4 cup butter or margarine, I used “I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter”.
- 2 eggs, slightly beaten
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 6 cups soft bread cubes (about 7 slices bread)
- 1/2 cup chopped dates or raisins, if desired
Step 1: Combine milk and butter
- Heat oven to 350°F. In 2-quart saucepan, heat milk and butter over medium heat until butter is melted and milk is hot.

- In large bowl, mix eggs, sugar, cinnamon and salt. Stir in bread cubes and dates. Stir in milk mixture. Pour into un-greased deep p
Step 3: Bake and Serve
- Bake uncovered 40 to 45 minutes or until knife inserted 1 inch from edge comes out clean. Serve warm with whipping cream.
